Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Services (SEQOHS)

man workingFor the first time in the UK, there are now standards of performance for occupational health services. These standards have been developed by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine in partnership with a multidisciplinary, multi-agency stakeholder group.

The Faculty is encouraging all occupational health providers – in both the NHS and the private sector – to familiarise themselves with the standards, and to work towards complying with them.

The purpose of the project is to provide occupational health services with a framework for quality assurance which is organised into six categories:

  • Business probity
  • Information governance
  • People
  • Facilities and equipment
  • Relationships with purchasers
  • Relationships with workers.

Medwyn Occupational Health has always assessed its own performance against rigorous standards, providing mechanisms for us to drive continuous improvements in the quality of service we provide to clients. Medwyn Occupational Health were formally approved by SEQOHS in November 2014.
