Quarantine Package – Home Tests
The Covid Test Package includes 1 or 2 Covid-19 test kits depending on whether you are arriving from a green or amber listed country. These will be sent to arrive on or before day 2 of your arrival into the UK. They should be returned to our lab while maintaining your period of mandatory quarantine at the UK address specified on your booking. We cannot change the address your test kit is dispatched to without confirmation you have updated the Passenger Locator Form, which is a requirement of the UK Government.
Each test kit will include full written instructions. Your arrival date is classed as day zero allowing time for you to take the day 2 test. Each test kit will need to be activated at the laboratory online portal. A Barcode for activation will be included with your test kit.
If you have chosen the option to purchase a day 5 Test to Release PCR swab (at additional cost of £99) this will be sent to you separately, arriving by day 5 of your mandatory quarantine.
Quarantine Package – Clinic Tests
The Covid Test Package includes appointments for 1 or 2 Covid-19 tests. Once your payment has been accepted you will be provided with an online web link to book your Day 2 and Day 8 clinic test appointments at our clinic in Dorking, Surrey. You must book an appointment prior to attending the clinic to ensure we are available to take your swab test. You are allowed to leave your address to attend the clinic for this purpose.
If you opt to change one or more of your clinic tests for a home testing kit the cost for providing this service to you remains unchanged. Medwyn Occupational Health will require 5 days notice of this change to ensure postal delivery on or before Day 2 of your quarantine period (Your arrival date is classed as day zero) .
If you have chosen the option to purchase a day 5 Test to Release PCR swab (at additional cost of £99) this appointment will be provided to you separately.
Day 5 Test to Release – Home Test
The Test to Release PCR swab will be sent to your quarantine address (as stated on your booking form) to arrive on Day 5 of your arrival in the UK. Full instructions will be included with the kit and the swab should be returned to our lab in the pre-paid packaging. We will will use our best endeavours to ensure your COVID-19 test is delivered for testing and confirmation of result to your email address within 24-36 hours of receipt at the lab. If your test result is negative for COVID-19 infection you will be allowed to end your quarantine.
Day 5 Test to Release – Clinic Test
The Test to Release PCR swab appointment will be at our clinic in Dorking, Surrey. Your PCR swab will be sent by courier to our lab on the day of your test. We will will use our best endeavours to ensure your COVID-19 test is delivered for testing and confirmation of result to your email address to your email address by 6pm the next day. If your test result is negative for COVID-19 infection you will be allowed to end your quarantine.
When booking your Day 2 / Day 8 quarantine test, or your Day 5 early Test to Release PCR Covid-19 swab test you agree to Medwyn Occupational Health sharing your personal information with Oncologica and Salient Bio Laboratories for the purposes of processing your test, providing your results and sharing necessary data with Public Health England and the Department of Health and Social Care.
Payment and Refunds
Once confirmed and booked, all COVID-19 PCR swab tests are non changeable and non–refundable. Payment will be taken from the credit or debit card provided at the time of booking through the Stripe payment portal. Quarantine bookings and payments can only be accepted online.
Please review the booking carefully and ensure all the details are correct. Please carefully check the correct UK postal address details have been entered correctly as we can only deliver test kits to the quarantine address provided on your booking form and no other alternative address.
If you do not receive an email confirmation within 10 minutes of booking, please check your spam or junk email before contacting the Medwyn Covid team on +44 (0) 1306 873942 or email@example.com. We can only respond to the email address provided at the time of booking. Our usual response time to emails is 3 hours during our normal opening times (Monday to Friday 08:30 to 19:00 and Saturday / Sunday 09:00 to 15:00.
You must have a confirmed booking test reference number from Medwyn Occupational Health prior to travel to England and Scotland. You will receive the following 2 documents from us:
- A confirmation email: to let you know your booking test reference number has been processed. Please retain this for your Passenger Locator Form. This should be received by automated email within 10 minutes of your booking payment.
- A receipt: to let you know your booking has been accepted and paid. You will receive your invoice within 24 hours of your booking.
Medwyn Occupational Health will use it’s best endeavours to ensure your Day 2, Day 5 and/or Day 8 COVID-19 test is delivered for testing and confirmation of result within 24 hours of receipt at Oncologica and Salient Bio Laboratories. However, Medwyn Occupational Health cannot guarantee a delivery date for results and does not accept any liability for delay that may arise from testing or test results, including transmission of swabs by Royal Mail, Private Courier services, or delay arising from high volume of testing at Oncologica and Salient Bio Laboratories.
A (Monday to Friday only) courier delivery service to your quarantine address is included in the cost of your testing package. Bookings received after 2pm on a weekday will not be dispatched until the next working day. Medwyn cannot accept any liability for delay in delivery of tests by third party postal or courier suppliers.
Oncologica and Salient Bio Laboratories aim to provide all test results within 24 hours of receipt but there will be circumstances when these timescales cannot be met.
In booking a Quarantine, or Test to Release Covid-19 test package you accept Medwyn cannot accept any liability for, or refund the costs of the testing package, or any other additional costs or expenses caused by late delivery or provision of your test results when this is caused by the delay of third party delivery or Oncologica and Salient Bio laboratory services.
Passenger Locator Form
You are required by the UK Government to complete the Passenger Locator Form online before you arrive in the UK; or, if you later decide to add a Day 5 Test to Release PCR swab after you have arrived in the UK if this wasn’t submitted on your original PLF. https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk
